Chattanooga Chase 8K road race and The Extra Mile for Siskin 1 Mile run

The 58th Running of the Chattanooga Chase Road Race presented by Fast Break Athletics and the Chattanooga Track Club in partnership with Siskin Children's Institute will take place on Monday, May 26, 2025, at Riverview Park in Chattanooga, TN. The 8K Race will start at 9:00 am and The Extra Mile for Siskin 1 Mile Race will start at 11:00 am. 

The Chattanooga Chase is the oldest active competitive road race in the area. This race features both an 8k and 1-mile race through the scenic Riverview neighborhood. The 8k is known for its challenging hills and breathtaking scenery. The 1-mile race features a fairly flat, fast course through the neighborhood adjacent to Chattanooga Golf and Country Club.

The Extra Mile for Siskin is an RRCA Championship race that will include 2 heats to ensure all racers have a safe and enjoyable experience. The first wave will begin at 11 a.m., which will be a family-friendly wave for participants running 8 minutes per mile and slower. The second wave will begin at 11:40 a.m., which welcomes participants running 7:30 minutes per mile or faster.

Starting at 10 a.m., the post-race block party sponsored by FOOD AS A VERB will  kick off on Hanover Street which will include live music and food and beverage from local restaurants. Participants of the race can bring their bibs over to the block party to get some delicious freebies from these amazing vendors! Riverview Park will feature family-friendly and inclusive activities thanks to our partners at Siskin Children's Institute.

Early Packet Pickup Party, Sunday, May 25:

• Fast Break Athletics (802 Hamilton Ave.)
• 12-4 PM
• Food, drinks, & fun!

Race Day, Monday, May 26:

7:15 AM  -  Packet Pickup opens
8:15 AM  -  8K Registration; 8K bib pick up closes
9:00 AM  - 8k race begins
10:15 AM  -  Top 25 8K M/F Announced (t-shirts/group photo)

10:15 AM - 1 mile Registration; 1 mile bib pick up closes

10:30 AM -  8K Awards
11:00 AM - 1-mile race begins, 1st wave 8 min/mile and slower
11:40 AM - 2nd wave 7:30 min/mile and faster, 1-mile race begins
12:05 AM - Award Ceremony, Top 25 1M M/F (t-shirts/group photo) & Door Prizes

PARKING
Parking will be available this year at Girls Preparatory School (205 Island Ave.) which is approximately 0.6 miles from Riverview Park via Young Avenue. Otherwise, parking is limited on-street throughout the North Shore, so carpooling is STRONGLY recommended.
