The Chickamauga Chase has been held since 1969 in the historic and beautiful Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park. With the competitive 15K, 8M Trail Race, 5K, 2 Mile Scenic Walk and Kiddie K, the Chickamauga Chase is a must do event for the entire family!
To keep everyone safe and in support of CDC and "shelter in place" directives, the 2020 CHICKAMAUGA CHASE IN GOING VIRTUAL.
SO WHAT DOES THAT MEAN: Between April 11 and April 25, run, jog or walk, on your own, 15k, 5k, or 2 miles on the road or on a treadmill or 8 miles on the trails. And for our youngest athletes, 1 mile on the road or trails with an adult. There is a distance for everyone. We only ask that you to keep in mind 3 things:
- Observe the RRCA General Runner Safety Tips
- Adhere to CDC guidelines and your local directives
- Embrace this unique format and HAVE FUN!
Once you complete your distance, we want you to send us the details. You will be sent a link to report your honor system results. We will be accepting your race "proof" between April 11 and midnight (est) April 26.

DISTANCES, PRICING
Pricing below for 5k, 15k, 8M, and Walk includes a $2.00 donation to National Park Partners (NPP) to support their work maintaining the Chickamauga Battlefield. We enthusiastically support this organization and thank YOU for supporting them as well! All participants may also make additional donations to NPP via the registration process. Register by February 29th to take advantage of early bird pricing!

T-SHIRTS - in lieu of a tshirt - all participants will receive a commemorative logoed item. You may OPT IN to have the cost of your commemorative item donated to the Chattanooga Ronald McDonald House Covid-19 relief effort or you may OPT OUT for the commemorative item and receive a $5.00 discount on your registration.
AWARDS - You will receive a link to post your honor system results. The deadline to post results is April 26. The unofficial honor system results will be posted on RunCTC.org. Creat your own competition with friends and family. Make sure you turn in the details.
BATTLE FOR CHATTANOOGA - completion of the Virtual Race will count toward the Battle for Chattanooga series. Note: we must receive your results in order for eligibilty.
Chickamauga Chase is the second of three races in the Battle for Chattanooga race series. The first race in the series was the Chickamauga Battlefield Marathon, Half, and Fort Oglethorpe on 11/09/2019. Runners who completed any distance in that race (marathon, half, 5k) are automatically entered in the series. To continue the series, simply complete any of the three qualifying Chickamauga Chase distances (15k, 5k, 8M trail). To complete the series, you must finish with the Missionary Ridge Road Race (4.7 miles, 8/8/2020). There is no additional cost to participate in the Battle for Chattanooga. COURSE MAPS - You get to pick your course in you neighborhood or on a trail - Please remember to follow all CDC and local health directives for social distancing and gatherings.

ABOUT THE CHATTANOOGA TRACK CLUB
The Chattanooga Track Club (CTC) is a nonprofit, 501c3 organization founded in 1970. The CTC is a membership based organization dedicated to stimulating interest in running and fitness for all ages and promoting wellness through these activities. We encourage anyone with similar interests to become a member and support our goals. No special qualifications, other than an interest in running and fitness, are required.
